🛣️ The Road to 2023…..Don’t apply pressure
Alright, here we are, at the end of another eventful year.
Some of you have probably been involved in a yearly Christmas feast.
As we look to the coming year it is important to point out something some of you might be guilty of.
Amongst coaches and trainers, they are known as ‘New Year’s resoluters’ (not a word in the English dictionary but still well known)
The quick definition of this is someone or a group of people who want to make a change in their lifestyle for the new year and set big goals.
The unfortunate thing here is that these goals are often too big and not sustainable which often leaves these individuals burnt out by March.
This is not to say their goals were not obtainable but, that they were not structured in a good or planned out way.
A good example of this is when our resolutions decide they want to become quote ‘more healthy and fit.’ They get the closest gym membership they can find, some sportswear and then commit to a daily visit to the gym. This commitment slowly reduces from every day to 4 days until they cannot sustain it anymore as they feel they have let themselves down or cannot be bothered. (The list goes on)
Now this is not a sales pitch to get a coach or trainer but more of an informative helping hand. Even coaches and trainers have coaches and trainers as we all need help getting to our goals.
If getting a coach or trainer still seemseems too much for you then a better course of action would be to set smaller bit-sized goals that help you get to where you want to be in the new year and beyond!
